ICTACS'06
Call for Papers
SCOPE
The First International Conference on
Theories and Applications of Computer Science (ICTACS’06) aims at
becoming a major point of contact between research scientists,
engineers and practitioners on the area of computer science. Papers
describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed
below. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by one of the
authors, will be published in the Proceedings of ICTACS’06.
Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality.
There will be both oral and poster sessions. Besides, the conference
also provides some tutorials before the conference dates.
CONFERENCE AREAS
Each of these topic areas is expanded
below. Papers should address one or more of the listed topics,
although authors should not feel limited by them. Unlisted but
related topics are also allowed.
* Image Processing, Computer Vision and
Pattern Recognition.
* Computational Linguistics and Natural
Language Processing.
* Artificial Intelligence, Machine
Learning and Algorithm.
* Software Engineering.
* Computer Network and Security.
* Bioinformatics.

TUTORIALS
Researchers, business consultants,
hardware and software manufacturers and business companies in
general are invited to submit case studies, regarding their own
technology problems and solutions. For this purpose, ICTACS’06 will
have a track for tutorials. The attendance to these sessions is free
for all the conference participants. All tutorials should be
submitted by email to the ICTACS’06 secretariat.
VENUE
The conference will be held in Ho Chi
Minh City, the center of the Southern of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City
(former Saigon) and its surroundings are major tourist places.
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors should submit a paper in
English of up to 6 A4 pages, carefully checked for correct grammar
and spelling, using the submission procedure indicated below. The
guidelines for paper formatting provided at the conference web site
must be strictly used for all submitted papers. The submission
format is the same as the camera-ready format. Please check and
carefully follow the instructions and templates provided.
The program committee will review all
papers and the contact author (the author that submit the paper) of
each paper will be notified of the result, by e-mail. Each paper
should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific
contribution, and the problems, domains or environments to which it
is applicable. Due to space limitations in the Proceedings, the
camera-ready versions of accepted papers will be limited to 8 pages
for long oral presentations and 6 for poster presentations. All
reviewing will be carried out double blind by the Program Committee.
When receive a paper, the web submission facility automatically
sends an acknowledgement, by e-mail, to the contact author. Please
contact the secretariat if no acknowledgement is received.
PROCEEDINGS AND BOOK PUBLICATION
All accepted papers will be published
in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, in paper and
in CD-ROM support.
LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS
Inquiries concerning hotel reservation
and touristy aspects can be directed to the ICTACS’06 secretariat. A
local specialized travel agency will make all arrangements. Free
transportation between a number of hotels and the conference site
will be provided by the conference organization, during the
conference days. Coffee breaks and lunch meals will be provided at
the conference site, for conference participants.
